Research

Elena is a Research Associate at the Centre for Social Research in Health at the University of New South Wales.

She graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2012 with a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Honours Class 1. Her Honours thesis examined university students’ judgements of male and transgender victim blame in sexual assault cases.

She is currently working on a national study, which aims to monitor stigma among people living with blood borne viruses and STIs. Elena is also completing a Master of Public Health part-time at the University of Sydney.

She previously worked at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at the University of New South Wales and for the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland.
